We are looking for a social-first, entertainment-driven host to become the face of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 content ecosystem.
At the core of the role is hosting a daily show (podcast-style format) during the tournament a fast-paced, entertaining production capturing the key stories, personalities, and moments of the event.
This goes beyond traditional sports presenting. We are looking for someone who can entertain, react, and co-create content in real time, bringing energy, personality, and storytelling to both the show and the broader content ecosystem.
The tone is 100% entertainment-driven, with a strong focus on engaging new and younger audiences.
Type of Engagement
This is a contracted role covering both the preparation phase and full tournament delivery, requiring strong involvement in the build-up and full availability during the event.
Profile
We are looking for a strong on-camera personality charismatic, quick-thinking, and comfortable in live, fast-paced environments.
The ideal candidate is fluent in English (additional languages are a plus) and, while not necessarily from hockey, understands sports culture and how to connect with audiences.
Experience in hosting, presenting, social-first content, interviews, and live formats is essential, along with a strong instinct for entertainment-driven storytelling and turning moments into engaging content.
Audience & Digital Presence
We are looking for someone with an active presence on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, and a strong connection with their audience. Engagement matters more than follower count.
As a guideline: 50K highly engaged followers or 250K+ with proven reach.
The host should be comfortable activating their own audience and amplifying key tournament moments through personal channels.
Role & Responsibilities
The host will play a central role in shaping the tone and success of the show helping define segments, formats, and conversations, while identifying authentic, spontaneous moments on-site.
They will act as a bridge between athletes, fans, and the tournament atmosphere, bringing these elements together in a natural and engaging way.
The role also includes contributing creatively by suggesting guests, bringing in talent or creators, and proposing content ideas, while maintaining strong on-screen dynamics and an energetic, accessible, and shareable tone.
What Will Make You Stand Out
You can improvise, react quickly in real time, and understand what works on social media. You know how to identify moments and turn them into content people want to watch and share.
Consistency of energy across multiple days of production is key.
Nice to Have
Experience in entertainment formats or digital shows, working with athletes or influencers, and major live events is a plus. Multi-language capabilities are also valued.
