The UCI World Cycling Centre (WCC), which houses the headquarters of the International Cycling Union (UCI), is a high-level training centre, based in Aigle and inaugurated in 2002.
Each year, the WCC welcomes athletes from across the globe who dedicate themselves fully to their sporting careers. The centre supports and develops approximately 100 athletes annually in three Olympic disciplines: road cycling, track cycling, and BMX.
The WCC offers top-tier sports and non-sports facilities, providing everything needed to ensure successful training camps. The Centre frequently hosts programmes organised by national federations and features versatile multi-sport infrastructure suitable for a wide range of disciplines. Athletes from Swiss Athletics and gymnasts from the Swiss Gymnastics Federation (FSG) train here on a near-daily basis. Swiss Athletics has established one of its three national performance centres at the WCC, while the FSG operates both its national and regional trampoline centres on-site.
While the WCC is dedicated to high-performance training, it also strives to make its facilities accessible to local athletes and the wider public. Introductory sessions in track cycling and BMX Racing are open to everyone, offering a chance to discover these exciting disciplines. Additionally, a BMX freestyle park and a pump track are available for public use.
International and national cycling events can be organised with the financial support of the Commune of Aigle and the Canton of Vaud.
The WCC warmly welcomes groups and companies for events including conferences, seminars, and outings. Featuring bright conference rooms, 1,800 m² of versatile space, and an on-site restaurant, the WCC is fully equipped to host your event.
