BackOn November 2, 2026, the Embassy of Switzerland in Senegal, the Canton of Vaud and the City of Lausanne, in collaboration with the Lausanne Olympic Capital Foundation, hosted a reception at the Swiss Ambassador’s Residence in Dakar, on the occasion of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
Held in the presence of Kirsty Coventry, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the evening brought together representatives of the international sports community to celebrate the strong ties between Lausanne and Dakar.
From Lausanne 2020 to Dakar 2026, this gathering highlighted the Olympic values of friendship, cultural exchange and international cooperation, reflecting the power of sport to bring people and communities together.
